This weekend bolt hole at Waipu Cove needed an upgrade from it’s steep metal driveway, given the gradient the best option was exposed aggregate. Because the house is built below the road, consideration had to be given to the drainage and fall of the concrete to ensure the water run off direction was away from the house.
The customers were extremely happy with the driveway, especially the exposed aggregate texture and darker pigment of the concrete. The exposed rock nestle’s in well with the surrounding native bush and plantings.
Kauri Coast Concrete donated $800 worth of labour for the laying and finishing of the concrete for the first stages of the Mangawhai Skate Park back in 2013. We have since carried out more work at the skate park as the next stages have undergone construction.
Mangawhai Skate Park is highly rated and keen skate boarders from around the world ensure they drop in when visiting. It’s been great to be part of a project that’s a bit different and also has a positive impact on the community in Mangawhai.

" Tane, my wife and I have just visited Takahoa Bay to view the concrete and we are very happy. It's a really nice feeling when something turns out as good as you'd hoped. The colour and the finish is great
Thanks for such a great outcome. "
